Daycare 

Daycare is at the heart of Bronx Barx. We all know that an urban life is busy and hectic, and sometimes as a dog owner we don’t have the time to give them the exercise and mental stimulation that they need and deserve. That’s why Bronx Barx offers a fun, safe, and loving environment where your dog can have the attention they need when you are not around.* Your dog will get to interact with other dogs of their size and energy levels in different parks, and have access to toys, obstacle courses and ample space to run - we have over 3500 square feet of space for our canine guests. Water will be available throughout the day, as well as quiet areas where they can just chill and nap – a tired dog is a happy dog.

Full-day and half-day (up to 5 hours) available. 

​

*First time  guests should register for a FREE one-hour temperament test. We assess each dog’s temperament before introducing them to the other guests in order to ensure a safe and fun environment for all.

Pick-up/Drop-off

Our team at Bronx Barx wants to make things simple for you. If you have plenty on your plate or simply aren’t close to our facility, we offer pick up and drop off services directly from your home to our location and back.

• If you are located within 3/4 mile of our location, pick up and drop off is completely free (see map below)

• If you are beyond 3/4 mile from our location, a $6 fee each way will cover our services

Grooming 

Grooming is an essential part of every dog’s life (especially our long and heavy-haired friends!). We want to make sure your dog feels good and looks great. Bronx Barx offers full grooming services from our certified pet groomer for all type of dogs, including:

​

• Haircut (styled to breed or as owner requests)

• Bathing

• Dematting

• Deshedding (Furminator)

• Nail trim

• Ear cleaning, hair removal & flushing

• Gland expression

• Teeth brushing

Group Dog Walking

Exercise and socialization are essential parts of a dog’s health and happiness. We offer local mid-day group dog walking services as an alternative to daycare, to allow your dog to get their potty break and enjoy the outdoors with their peers. To participate in the dog walking service, your dog must be up to date on all required vaccinations, have a friendly temperament, and possess appropriate dog walking gear.

Boarding

Bronx Barx offers overnight boarding services for those times when you need a fun, safe, and loving environment while away. The boarding services are limited to dogs who have also been attending daycare with Bronx Barx. When your dog stays with us, they will be walked, fed and provided care and attention for the duration of their stay. They will participate in the daycare activities during the day and be provided their own private space at night. Your dog will be be completely cared-for and happy while you are away.

Training

We believe training is an essential tool to raising happy and well-adjusted dogs. Whether it be basic obedience, better household manners, or improved social skills, our professional, certified trainer from Uptown Doggy support you and your dog to enjoy a higher quality of life together. All of our trainings methods are always positive and force-free, in alignment with Bronx Barx values, so click on the trainings below to see which one may be right for you.

Current Group Classes:

Intensive Urban Manners (5 classes - $295)

Intensive Urban Manners class is a condensed format that will teach you and your dog how to deal with most common situations in the city.  Over the course of five consecutive classes, Intensive Urban Manners will cover the following basic behaviors:

• Walking on a Loose Leash

• Leave-it

• Focus and Attention on You Around Distraction

• Impulse Control

• Clicker Training

• Name Recognition

• Sit-Stay

• Come when Called

• Greeting People Politely/ Jump Prevention
